Patients stabilised on long-term medicines may request repeat
prescriptions, preferably with their computer printout in
writing, in person or by fax. For patients` safety we DO NOT
ACCEPT TELEPHONE PRESCRIPTION REQUESTS. The prescription will be ready for collectionafter two working days,
or can be posted if a SAE is included in the request.
Friday requests will not be ready until Tuesday afternoon.
Patients are encouraged to visit the surgery wherever possible.

Antenatal and Child Immunisation Clinics are all held in theafternoons. Wart clinics and minor surgical procedures are carried out byspecial arrangement. Appointments forblood pressure care, diabetic management, asthma, well-women or
well-men advice are available in normal surgery times by all
the doctors and practice nurses.
HCSW –Debbie Broad - Lucy Tribble
The HSCW offer a blood taking service every morning from 8.30amto 12.noon appointments can be booked at the reception desk
New patient health checks should be booked with the healthcaresupport workers and you are asked to bring a urine specimen with you when youattend your appointment.
The practice nurses Debbie Spicer and Sue Todd
are available daily by appointment. We also have two healthcare support workers.
The triage nurses Alison Horner and Louisa Lochrane are available five mornings a week to see patients who haveurgent problems. They may be able to deal with your problem either on the telephone or in person.
Blood Pressure – we wouldsuggest that you have your BP checked at least once every three years. ZoeGirdis our prescribing pharmacist assistsus with the management of our hypertension clinic.
Cervical smears – we recommend thatall women have a cervical smear following nationalguidelines.
Childhood Immunisations – thedoctor, practice nurse and health visitor can advise you on appropriateimmunisation prior to your appointment if you have any concerns.
Pre-conception – before conceiving women can seek advice about pregnancy from the doctor or practicenurse by making an appointment
Stop Smoking Clinic
Smoking – you are advised to stop for your own good health and that of your family. Once you have made thedecision to stop we are available for support and advice as required. Ask at the reception desk if you would liketo book an appointment for our stop smoking clinic.
Travel vaccinations – the practice nurses offer a comprehensive service for travel advice and vaccinationby appointment.
